Hello!
How can I customize the look of the site?
Font size, color, etc?
I´ve seen other sites very customized... Is there any specific file i need to edit?
Thanks in advance.
Pedro.

Boa tarde!
The way to customize the site is to change the css. You need to be in advanced mode to be able to acces this feature (settings => advanced mode= on).
Now, you can choose between the eatock template and a sample template.
The default format for indexhibit is the 'Eatock' format - it can be found in the /studio/site folder. You can customize the template (html) and the css as found in this folder as you wish. You could also duplicate the folder, give it a name of your choice, and then select the new folder in your Exhibit > Settings.
Note that the Eatock format uses a position: fixed; div for the index - you should be careful when making adjustments.
I followed these directions;
"duplicate the folder, give it a name of your choice, and then select the new folder in your Exhibit > Settings."
and when selected, i get this error:
"Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: Stat failed for /home/.zircon/elanieblais/eabstudio.com/ndxz-studio/site/eab_style/index.php (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /home/.zircon/elanieblais/eabstudio.com/index.php on line 81
Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/.zircon/elanieblais/eabstudio.com/index.php on line 81
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/.zircon/elanieblais/eabstudio.com/index.php on line 82"
What did I do wrong?
THANKS!!!!
elanie
Does the name of the file match 'eab_style' exactly?
"eab_style" is the name of the folder. just like "eatock" is the name of the folder that contains the standard css file.
Is there any other info i can give you to help you help me? im very confused as to why this doesnt work...
Thanks for you reply!
and the folder name is automatically generated in the setting drop down menu anyway, once you dump the folder onto the ftp... isn't it?
the name of the file is "style.css"
I bet it's a permissions issue. Change the folder and the files in there to 0755. I bet it works then.
Maybe ill just edit the sample instead of making a new folder
ahhh sorry got your post late...thats probly true
noo that didnt work :(
ok well i am editing the sample style and that seems to work, thanks anyway.
elanie
Hmmm...if Sample works then your other thing should work too.
I am also having the line 81 error described on the first page of this thread.
I think it has something to do with a database memory limit and can be resolved with a php.ini file? Don't really know much about any of this database stuff, but if I figure it out I'll post again.
Don't see a problem on your site...

Right - I'm just editing the eatock file for now as a work around...
Setting a new css file gives me this message:
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/studiored/www/www/test/ndxz-studio/site/sparkynino/index.php in /home/studiored/www/www/test/index.php on line 81
Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/studiored/www/www/test/index.php on line 81
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/studiored/www/www/test/index.php on line 82
I ran into a similar problem with wordpress a while back and had to mess around with a php.ini file. Anybody else running into this problem?
The problem is that you need to make a duplicate of the SAMPLE folder...not the EATOCK folder. The Eatock folder does not have an index.php file (it's embedded within the system) - Sample does. Your test folder DOES NOT HAVE AN INDEX.PHP FILE.
Ah... sorry... will be more careful before posting next time! Thanks Vaska.
I have the same problem, but I am working with a renamed version of the sample. It was working yesterday, and now there seems to be something wrong again. And I cant figure out what. Can You help me?

I am still having this problem, with the warning message as mentioned above. I really need help.
What can I do to fix this?

You deleted a section that had your main/home page. This obviously breaks the system.
Search Downloads for the reset script...
Am I missing something here? Turning "Advanced Mode" on just lets you change the style/theme, correct? You still have to edit the stylesheet and template(s) offline. At least, in my install that's the case. Advanced just lets me CHOOSE a theme. I see nowhere in the backend where I can edit the files from the Web.
My testbed install is here, BTW:
