hello,
I am new to indexhibit and I already figured out a problem. :)
I'd like to put my favicon-code into the index.php under /ndxz-studio/site/sample/index.php
plus i want to have a fix page title like "annamaria boheim // communication design // portfolio" without the changing first part like it is normally. So I put that in the title-tag of the index.php and ovwerwrote the "objectname : object-title"-thing (I am not sure how it was really named).

so here are the things I changed:
<title>
annamaria boheim // communication design // portfolio
</title>

<link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://portfolio.anna-boheim.de/favicon.ico" />


BUT the changes I make there do not appear on my site.
Is it the wrong index.php page I am editing?
Or am I doing a total bullshit?

Please help!

i wondered if i could maybe clear caches from indexhibit or something, can i?? i mean just refreshing the page in the browser is not working.

Indexhibit doesn't have caches. But your browser, ISP and possibly even internal router do.

so what else can i do except refreshing my browser chaches?
i don't understand what isp and internal router means. sorry.

I see my favicon with the use of http://browsershots.org.
but i think my exhibition name (page title) is still that way:
work : annamaria boheim // communication design // portfolio
i want it to be only like that for all subpages:
annamaria boheim // communication design // portfolio

Is that possible, and how can I do that?

ok, the favicon i can see now. but it does not appear in my source code? how is that possible and still my page-title isn't working the way i want it to work. :(

Perhaps you should look at your code...if it's not doing what you want then it's very likely that you haven't asked it to do what you want.

And, if you know how to make a plugin to manage the titles the way you want then it's possible. Maybe somebody around here will have time to help you but I suggest you read the tutorial on creating plugins and give it a try first.

well i know what you mean. it's just, that my favicon is now appearing on my page, but it is not in the code. That is the mysterious thing i'd like to understand. :)

it seems to me that all changes i do in the index.php at /ndxz-studio/site/sample/index.php

do not appear on my website. For a secure check that its not the due to my coding I just changed the

\"built with indexhibit\"

text on the bottom into

\"built with the help of indexhibit\"

It does not appear on my website like that. The source code of the website is still untouched when I look at it.
So is it possible, that I am editing the wrong index.php? Where can I make those changes??

You are editing the Eatock template set...you need to switch to the Sample set in the Exhibits > Settings area.
