Hi there,
Is there any way to create sub sections.
I would like a title section e.g. Print work, then someone would click on that and a secondary list would pop with my categories.
Thanks
Paul

That is not possible with the current version of indexhibit. It's likely that you can do that, but you need to either know some php/css or a loving soul to write you a custom plugin.
That loving soul would, as an act of kindness, release the plugin back to the community.
It is possible...but you would need to customize the navigation structures. Not hard if you know some PHP and javascript.
chapman,
did you ever figure this out ? i know enough php and javascript to do this, but curious if you got a headstart, ie, where to look. the only thing that looked promising is in the lib/template.php file, where the menu function seems defined -- but i don't really know where to add sub sections to yet, from the editing/backend/admin area...
investigating - will let you know if i find anything else !

His note is from last year...over a year old.
I've "hacked" a two level menu system by making the sections become clickable and displaying their content in a second column. This is somewhat similar to the collapsible menu script you can find it the forum, but instead of showing the exhibits under the section title, you show it in a second column.
It is also possible to go along the idea of using the pictures captions to make a 2nd/3rd (would be like a deux column with captions instead of thumbnails) level of menu... this is a bit more restrictive but would work well if the content is only images.
Hope that helps you going... hope to see a template/plugin come out of this...
