how do you hide some items in the menu until you get to a certain point in navigation. an example is the way you hide all the sub pages of the forum here, until you click on forum and then you see the subnavigation (all forums, - support, - ideas... etc.)

This site does not use Indexhibit per se...although it does use something similar.

You can hide individual pages via the "Additional Settings" when you are editing pages. Look lower right...click that...you'll see the setting for it.

right... but how does the user get to make them show up... here is what i want to do. (it was the original plan before indexhibit came out.)

i want to have a link to a work page up top with the other sections (news, about, contact.) and when you clicked on the work section... that is when the options for the exhibits of work show up.

if i just "hide from index" the option you are talking about, how do i eventually make it available to the user?

It's a little tricky, but not so hard. You can find the url to tha hidden pages then make a link in a visible page. How to find the url? If it's a simple title, you can guess it.. or you can unhide it momentarily and copy it from the browser.

I don't think Tomorrow's question has been answered and I would love to know myself as I am attempting to do the exact same thing.

I would like to keep the list of projects hidden until the user clicks on a 'Projects' section link - essentially taking them to the 'projects' section. I want to set it up this way rather than displaying all the individual projects on the home page per se. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you for any help any of you can provide!

You need to write a custom plugin to make this happen...probably combined with css and javascript to make it work perfectly.
