Index + Exhibit

I am looking into hosting our own website using Indexhibit.

So far have managed to get to the part where i am asked to add the following details:

name of exhibition
database server
database name
user name
password

Typically in previous posts it is suggested that some of these details are provided by the host.
Given that I am in effect my own host, how would I supply these details?
Any suggestions welcome.

You would give them to yourself? ;)

Do you have a database (mysql) installed on your server? If you do, then you would need to figure out how to access it.

I have mysql installed on the server, and administrating via phpMyAdmin.

I have configured the server and created a user and password, but when i put in the details for

name of exhibition
database server
database name
user name
password

i get the following message
XX Please check your config settings again.

I am doing this all from the same machine to a local server - any suggestions welcome as to where the problem might lie.

Local server...local network? Not on the web?

Ask your host to double confirm your database connection info.

Ok,

I actually have all my stuff ready but still got this one:

XX We cannot connect or install the database

Host Name XXXX
Database name mXXXXXit
Database user mgbiXXXXXn
PW: mXXXXX

This should all allow IndexHibit to go to town and I can't see why it can't log in to do so? Is there something in the phpMyAdmin that I haven't done? Can't think of what that would be.
