How to reset the Sample theme?

I tried to customise the style.css file in the 'sample' theme folder but
somehow managed to 'break' the sample theme.

Eatock is working fine, but when I switch to 'Sample' I get the following message when trying to load my site:

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/cargostu/public_html/ndxz-studio/site/sample/index.php in /home/cargostu/public_html/index.php on line 81

Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/cargostu/public_html/index.php on line 81

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/cargostu/public_html/index.php on line 82

I tried dragging in the 'Sample' folder from the default master file to fix it, but it didn't change this.

Sorry to bother you again, but I'm stumped. I though editing the .css was the way to customise your site?

Really stumped on this - I've tried re-uploading files a number of times to the Sample folder and nothing is working.

I'm sure the fix is something quite easy - I'd prefer not to have to start again.

Try the 'site reset script'...just search the forum for it.

The real problem you are having is that you probably deleeted a section that wiped out your home page - that's why there is a warning when you delete sections. The site reset script will fix this part of things. Maybe, you don't need to reupload anything...

Ok, I followed the instructions - I dragged the site-reset.php file directly into my 'ndxz-studio' folder and then navigated to the following URL:

http://www.cargostudio.com/ndxz-studio/site-reset.php

The message I recieved was:

"Everything looked just fine - nothing was changed."

...but when I put my site into Sample mode, it still has the same problem. I then deleted the site-reset.php file, as per your instruction, and the problem is still there.

I'm a bit lost - I think I did it right?

Could be many things...it's hard to say. If I was you I would just scrap it all and start over.

Ok, thanks for helping anyway - at least I wasn't TOO far into my website.

Note to self - DO NOT DELETE MAIN PAGE!!!!

Don't delete sections that have the main page in them. Which is why there is a warning note when people are deleting sections.

Yeah, I saw that - but from memory it just says 'Are you sure you want to delete a section?"

Maybe it could be more explicit:

"Are you sure you want to delete this section? Doing so may cause your site to not function "

It seems a few other people have done this, so maybe the message has to be a stronger warning? Just a suggestion.
