Indexhibit Support

OK, i am not amazing at this , but I managed to set everything up and started uploading pictures and what not. My website was running great for a while until i decided to reorganize it a little so i deleted almost all exhibitions and started reuploading things. As i got to the second exhibition, i was uploading an image and suddenly i got the following error message, and i just cannot access my website anymore:

Page not found

The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:
If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

- Click the Back button in your browser to try another link.
- Use a search engine like Google to look for information on the Internet.

HTTP 404 - File not found

and additionally when i try to access a direct link to one of the exhibitions i get the following :

Page not found error here.

you are missing an index.php at the root of your site. Replace with a fresh downloaded copy. It's the index.php that is together with the htaccess file. There are several index.php but they are all different and specific to each folder

but i just checked and i have it, nevertheless I've replaced it with a freshly downloaded copy.... still doesn't seem to work :(

no, I'm sorry, but the index.php at marinaetc.com/index.php (your root) does not seem to be the correct one: even if they are called the same, they are different. As I said, replace it with a fresh downloaded copy of the right index.php: it's the one you see "above" the ndxz-studio folder, together with htaccess

i swear i did exactly what you told me, the index.php above the ndxz-studio folder. i just did it again ...it doesn't seem to work

do you have two installations of indexhibit? Because I can't get an answer from marinaetc.com/index.php at all. just a page not found, which means there's no index.php there

just thought of one thing: when you deleted your exhibitions and sections, did you perhaps delete the section containing your main page?

yes! should i have not done that .....how can i fix it ?

there are a couple of solutions to that in Useful Threads in the forum.

Of course, seeing as you were just getting started with completely redoing your website, reinstalling indexhibit is also an option
