Update: An updated website! There are a few more things to do. I will have more to say about this soon. Now, your eyeballs can rest. ;)
Perhaps you noticed I launched an informal fundraiser on Sunday - today I pulled it down. There were three donations - thank you very much, you know who you are.
While I have delayed doing that for two years, the original plan was to do this in March - the pandemic took precedent. I think the world needs to heal more - I should have waited. But, I was at my end two years ago with the lack of support.
This is just a quick update about that just in case you were wondering where it went. Donations (or being hired for real projects) is still much appreciated. A donations link is in the previous post. Donations support me doing this work and paying Indexhibit bills.
I have no idea what to do about the lack of community in the project and I'm very lonely doing this project. It's always been like this since day one. For years I was paying people to be around the forum to help you. Part of the success of this kind of project is that people don't need myself or Indexhibit (after installation). But, I don't even know how to contact people if there is a security issue, for instance. I get alot of email from people who have been using it for more than 10 years asking me to fix their site - that's fine, but I'm not doing that for free (I need to earn a living too). Free does not mean free everything - be fair, I've done alot of work here.
A fundraiser will be the only way - but I know that the majority of users won't even know it's happening. If you have suggestions I'm all ears...
